Dear Colleague, On behalf of the International Organization for Biological and Integrated Control of Noxious Animals and Plants (IOBC), West Palaearctic Regional Section (WPRS), you are cordially invited to participate in the next meeting of the IOBC/WPRS Working Group on “Integrated Control in Citrus Fruit Crops” (http://www.iobc-wprs.org/wg_sg/index.html), that will be held in Agadir, Morocco, from 1 to 3 March 2010. The meeting is organized by the “Institut Agronomique et Vétérinaire Hassan II-Complexe Horticole d’Agadir”. This international meeting intends to promote discussion on the major issues and research priorities for further development and spread of citrus IPM programs in Mediterranean countries. During the conference several aspects of IPM in citrus in relation to arthropod pests, pathogens and weeds will be covered. The proposed scientific sessions, amongst others, will deal with: • Citrus pest management • Ecological infrastructures • Biocontrol strategies and methods • Citrus diseases and weeds. Besides conferences, a mid-Symposium technical excursion will take place to some citrus orchards and citrus industry facilities located in the Souss Valley area. This will be an opportunity to participants to come in contact with different aspects of Moroccan citriculture. A post-meeting tour (March 4th -8th) is open to participants who need to experience the hidden side of the country, ancient culture and beautiful scenery of the desert (Ouarzazate and Erfoud) and an imperial city (Marrakech).
